Continence Clinic

As I adapt to mobility by wheelchair rather than by legs, certain truths emerge. One is that suitable loos can be hard to find, when out and about. Having had a couple of near accidents in that department, I asked for and got a referral to the Wokingham Continence Clinic. A gentle man by the name of Isaiah visited me at home, holding a bulging bag. Out came bags, tubes and sheaths. He talked me through the whole business, then measured my girth where it matters. He told me I'd need to prune the undergrowth in the relevant area too. Next morning a large bag arrived on my doorstep, containing quantities of said bags, tubes and sheaths. It felt as though I'd unleashed a monster that was breeding all this stuff. Yet more arrived this morning. So now I have to try the ruddy stuff out. I'm sure it'll come in useful, but the prospect doesn't exactly enthrall...  I guess it's very small beer though, compared to the various sorts of ostomies that people put up with
